Dishwashing glove material introduction

2022-09-23

Dishwashing gloves come in a variety of materials, each with its own characteristics. There are four types of dishwashing gloves. Therefore, the correct option should be chosen for this purpose and used correctly. Below, let's take a look at the introduction to dishwashing glove materials.
1. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) dishwashing gloves are inexpensive and efficient
Because PVC is relatively inexpensive and comes in a variety of patterns, this material is suitable for those who want to choose gloves according to their preferences. At the same time, the plastic material is oil-resistant and less prone to wear, allowing for long-term use. However, it is not very heat-resistant, so be careful when using it with hot water.
2. Natural rubber dishwashing gloves are strong and elastic
If you are using high-elasticity gloves, natural rubber should be used. Natural rubber is scratch-resistant, heat-resistant, and remains soft and elastic with long-term use. However, if you are allergic to latex, be careful, as your hands may become rough.
3. Nitrile dishwashing gloves are ideal for grease and oil stains
For oil-resistant, chemical-resistant, and wear-resistant gloves, choose nitrile gloves. This material is highly oil-resistant, making it easy to use when cleaning ovens and microwaves, as well as cooking utensils or pots and pans. At the same time, this type is characterized by various thin disposable gloves that can grip the hand like thin skin. In addition, nitrile rubber has the characteristic of low-temperature hardening, so wearing gloves in cold water may be uncomfortable. Nitrile gloves are artificial rubber, less likely to cause human allergies; excellent oil resistance, heat resistance, acid and alkali resistance, chemical resistance, puncture resistance, and wear resistance; can be worn on both the left and right hands; easy to put on and take off; no rubber smell; non-toxic and easily degradable. The disadvantages are poor scalability and less softness than latex.
4. Latex dishwashing gloves use natural latex, which is soft and highly elastic
They fit the hand shape well and are non-toxic and easily degradable. However, they are not as oil-resistant or puncture-resistant as nitrile; there is a risk of sensitization, and liquids such as sweat and saliva will turn yellow, and they are prone to yellowing; they will adhere at high temperatures; and they smell like latex.
5. PVC dishwashing gloves are inexpensive

Made from polyvinyl chloride paste resin, plasticizer, and zinc-calcium composite stabilizer as the main raw materials, through processes such as stirring, filtration, defoaming, and drying, they are resistant to weak acids and weak alkalis; they have good flexibility and feel. However, they have weak chemical corrosion resistance; they contain plasticizers and stabilizers, and under high-temperature and high-oil conditions, toxic substances will quickly precipitate, endangering health; they have an irritating odor, are not durable, are not light-resistant, and are not heat-resistant.
6. Convenient to carry polyethylene gloves, disposable
If you always want clean gloves, use disposable nylon gloves. Disposable gloves are made of polyethylene (PE) plastic, are very thin, are suitable for washing a small number of dishes, and have a short shelf life.

The gloves are also easy and quick to remove, and can be used not only for washing dishes, but also for cooking and processing, such as washing rice, marinating meat, and cleaning rooms. Therefore, you can use it comfortably in various situations, so if you always wear disposable gloves, it will be helpful.
