The production process of rubber gloves uses steam technology with a qualified rate
2022-02-01
1. A significant transformation is underway in rubber glove production. Global demand for medical rubber gloves has surged dramatically. Improving production efficiency and pass rates is a common challenge faced by manufacturers. To overcome limitations in rubber glove production and improve production lines, rubber glove manufacturers have replaced traditional boilers with steam generators. Is this effective in improving product quality and efficiency?
2. Steam heating creates a more uniform glove film.
It is understood that after cleaning the glove molds with acid, alkali, and water, the cleaned molds need to be immersed in calcium water at a certain temperature to allow calcium ions to be evenly distributed on the surface of the ceramic molds before proceeding to the next step. During this process, the temperature of the calcium water needs to be maintained at a constant and stable temperature. However, due to the large size and semi-open nature of the water tank on the production line, the insulation effect is not ideal.
The steam generator perfectly solves this problem. The steam generator can maintain a constant temperature according to process requirements, keeping the molds immersed in calcium water at a constant temperature, allowing the latex to adhere more easily to the ceramic molds, resulting in a more uniform glove film.
3. Efficient steam drying mode eliminates waiting time.
After the molds are immersed in calcium water, the ceramic molds need to be dried before the dipping process begins. How to quickly dry the ceramic molds immersed in calcium water? You should know that flow operations have virtually no waiting time. How to overcome this difficulty?
In addition to heating, steam also has a drying function. Sending steam into the oven can instantly dry the water on the molds. The assembly line can simultaneously dry and dip the latex. These two processes occur simultaneously, eliminating waiting time, making it both convenient and efficient.
4. Steam drying achieves a latex dot rate as high as 98%.
After steam drying, the latex dot rate reaches 98%. The dried ceramic molds are immersed in latex, coating the surface of the ceramic molds with a layer of latex to form the latex glove. The gloves can only be removed after the moisture on the surface of the latex gloves is removed. At this point, steam drying is required. The heat generated by the steam generator is uniform and controllable, preventing over-drying. The high-temperature steam with suitable humidity allows for uniform and rapid drying of the fragile latex, resulting in a glove pass rate exceeding 98%.
It is evident that the steam generator plays a crucial role in the production of rubber gloves. The steam process significantly improves the quality and production efficiency of rubber gloves. Rubber glove manufacturers will promote the use of steam generators across their entire production lines.
5. The role of polyethylene wax emulsion in rubber gloves:
Chemically inert: No reaction with latex.
Suitable for aqueous systems.
Increases demolding (easy release).
Reduces the coefficient of friction of the polymer coating, improving wear resistance and durability.
Reduces total migration by forming a barrier layer.
Ozone aging protection.
Provides anti-adhesion for gloves in packaging.
Wax is a large class of organic compounds. It is a hydrophobic and ductile solid at room temperature and a low-viscosity liquid above its melting point, including high molecular weight alkanes and lipid compounds. It is generally insoluble in water. Therefore, wax has a significant impact on many formulations and processes.
